Ferry Lawn Concerts

Jack London Square invites the community to two Concerts on the Ferry Lawn. Taking place September 27th and October 11th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the free outdoor concerts will offer the community an opportunity to enjoy live music in a relaxed, open-air waterfront setting. Oakland-based rapper, pianist, composer and producer Kev Choice, whose music draws from hip-hop, R&B, jazz, funk, soul and classical influences, has served as music director for Lauryn Hill and performed and toured with artists including Michael Franti, Goapele and Ledisi. Choice will perform on September 27th. Tony Lindsay, the former longtime lead vocalist for Santana, whose tenure with the band included 11 Grammy Awards, will take the stage with the Soul Soldiers on October 11th. Each of these events is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required.
