    Founded in 1989, the Jack London Square Farmers Market has deep roots in Oakland, providing a vibrant waterfront marketplace for Bay Area families. The Jack London Square Farmers Market is operated by CUESA at Oakland’s Jack London Square on Sundays (10 am to 3 pm), year round, rain or shine.

    Second Saturdays, a new monthly open air market on the Oakland waterfront, featuring up to 100 artisan vendors, children’s activities, live entertainment, and great food from local vendors and favorite eateries. True to its namesake, Second Saturday will be held every second Saturday of the month from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. The flagship monthly event is open to the public and free to attend. The Second Saturday series kicks off on Saturday, March 10 and runs through the year.

    Hosted by Wiggins Consulting and Jack London Square, the new series will feature independent vendors with a strong Bay Area presence, including Imagination Unlimited, Old School Copes, and the Lisa Inez. Second Saturday serves as a platform for local entrepreneurs and business owners to showcase their products and services at a monthly family festive event.

    Each Second Saturday will have their own event page on Facebook, which will continue to be updated with the participating vendors and activities leading up to the respective date. These events are available on Jack London Square’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/jacklondonsquare

    Tall Ships - Lady Washington & Hawaiian Chieftain

    Public Dock at Broadway

    Tall Ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain, official ambassadors of Washington state, will visit Oakland from March 16th – 26th and offer exciting Adventure Sails, Battle Sails and Vessel Tours from the dock. Vessel Tours open the ships to the public for a suggested donation of $5 per person. Come check out the ship and meet her crew!

    Sailing guests will embark on a two or three-hour experience. Adventure Sails feature sailing as it was done for hundreds of years. Join in a sea shanty, enjoy breathtaking views, and meet the modern day crew that travels the west coast. Battle Sails feature fast-paced maneuvering and live black powder cannon fire as the ships vie to win the battle.

    A ticket is required for all sailing passengers, including babies. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments are not provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own (no glass containers, please). Accessibility is addressed on a case-by-case basis, so please talk to us ahead of time to be sure we can accommodate your needs.
